I broke up with my girlfriend last month yet it feels like it was just yesterday. My friends and family were always there by my side after that painful break up. They never failed to make me feel important and worth loving for. They made me realize that they are just always there loving me for who I am and I am beyond blessed for that alone. But I still can’t figure out what it is that my heart is truly looking for. Don’t get me wrong. I am glad they are there for me--- my family and true friends. But it feels like there is still something missing in me. I think I have lost myself too the moment she chose to leave me.

Healing a broken heart is difficult, especially when you were in love very deeply.

You need to keep yourself occupied to get your mind off of everything, surround yourself with positive people, go out with friends, visit family.

You need to fill up your schedule so you're always doing something, keep yourself occupied.

Try and move forward with your life.

When you focus on something, it will surely linger. Take for instance when you watched a good movie, you tend to recall the nice scenes that even after a week the movie was still in your mind. It is similar to the so called LSS or Last Song Syndrome that you heard a good song and you play it on your head for hours. With a relationship, it's the same thing that when you always think about it, your mind will be preoccupied with your past relationship. My suggestion is for you to socialize and indulge in a new hobby. Keep yourself busy with other things and avoid thinking of the past as if that is poison.

I am really sorry that you are passing thru this, is very hard to heal a broken heart, time helps but the pain doesn't go away so easily. You must keep yourself busy all the time, your mind must be occupied, work harder, read books, spend most of the time with your friends and family and the most important thing is to try to meet new girls.

What can heal a broken heart is a love. Not a love coming from your ex, a love from your family can help but what you really need is a love from yourself. Love can heal any broken heart, but it's a process. When you had already the love and forgiveness in yourself just let time do the work. This love and forgiveness will be found in your hands, you just need to use it when you are ready.

Hi @Corzhens ! I'm trying to be busy right now and for the next few weeks so that I won't have time to think of the pain. Thank you so much for this. Surely, I will apply these.

I know healing a brokenhearts is not easy, but you need to move on for yourself, try to talk to your friends and family. Do not give yourself a stress and hurt your feelings even more.
