I need to know how this can work long term and what challenges await us? We have an unreal connection and started off as best friends first before the relationship but we got close really quick and he’s mature beyond his years. If it weren’t for me asking him how old he was no one would ever know our age difference. Hands down this has been my best relationship to date and I can’t imagine being without him and the same on his end. He’s willing and wants a long term relationship and build something together and so do I. However we both realize that he would be sacrificing having kids and I would be sacrificing actually meeting someone and settling down if it doesn’t work out ill have more to lose in regards to time not on my side. There’s also the challenge of the fact that hes still building his career and I am settled into one in the same career field as him so that part works but I need to know are we crazy?

I am 68, my serious boyfriend is 31 and I would have never imaged in this, but it happened and did because he was very good to me. Before this, I would have said no way, 5 years younger at most. But I no longer think this way because of this experience as now I would be open to dating any guy over 18. However that is not happening as we are getting very serious, madly in love and he is hinting marriage. Like me, many woman don't try it and men our age are not only short in number, but they prefer dating younger woman. It happened to me by accident and I am so thankful it did because I would be single and bored. Don't limit yourself like I was doing, being with a younger man is truly special and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

I never thought it was that common until I got involved with someone much younger, but it's more common than we think, though most are under a 20 year gap like in your case. I have a 37 year gap and for this reason, I have not told most that are close to me. However I will need to soon as we are getting very serious and he is hinting marriage.

It would be great and stunning no matter what questions you have startling you as long as comfortability and preparation are involved in the relationship.

It works great when you stand up for your lover and not be afraid of the downfalls you may have out there

have a lasting positive relationship ;)

I see absolutely no hindrance to go for it. We are young for love at any age and the figures in the passport shouldn't be an obstactle to be happy. Check your compatibility, there are many online tests and astrology,  I personaly prefer worldofforecasts.com Just don't let anyone fool you and make profit out of your open heart. Wish the happy relationship with the love of your life!

My wife is 9 years older than me, and the age gap’s never been an issue. Its weird sometimes when we talk about growing up and realized we were in different decades, but its something to laugh about. Only issue I can think of is when she sometimes won’t respect my opinion/knowledge because she has more life experience. Granted she she is often right in these cases, but not always, and I like to be treated with respect. So, if you can avoid holding your age over on your BF, by all means embrace this love, because you could never encounter another like it.

If it feels right for you then you should alone answers your questions. You should also think about the future, but you can think in category like: what can we do to make those things be better. You never know how exactly it will work in some years, but that is - if you want to see it - go for it.
