Some people might find self help books cheesy, but one that really helped my husband and I was about conducting marriage meetings. Think of it somewhat like a work meeting - you discuss problems and challenges coming up, your weekly schedule, you offer some words of appreciation for what the other has done for you or to help the family throughout the week - there's a specific structure mentioned in the book itself. I honestly found it super helpful (and so did my husband, and he was skeptical at first!)

You can find it on Amazon if you're interested, it's called Marriage Meetings for Lasting Love by Marcia Berger.

Any books you've enjoyed that have enriched your relationship?

I browsed thru a book on love languages and I think it was enlightening - and I'd say it would be the most useful.  Has anyone read it?  But of course, I'm sure it's only one in many.

Yes! That one is actually pretty good (5 love languages) and I thought it was very practical and easy to apply to real life as well. It's probably why the book is so popular, because it's easy to relate to.

I always find Chicken Soup for The Soul helpful in our relationship. They have books intended for various ages and relationships. The stories in each book are very inspiring. You will learn various lessons that are applicable to your relationship. Try them for a read.  :)

I've seen a book that is entitled "How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. Has anyone read that yet? I think it's the most popular self-help book out there. It is supposed to teach us how to make everyone like us and influence their thinking without them knowing we were the ones who implanted our ideas into their brain.

Won't that be very helpful to love, relationships, and business? :D
