Hello everyone. I apologize in advance for the long story and some spelling mistakes there might be (English is not my native language).

So i've been married for 3 years now. She is from another country (i'll keep the countries blank for her and my privacy) and came to live with my about 2,5 years ago. We bought a house together and everything was going great.

The thing is that she is INCREDIBLY lazy. She doesnt clean the house, cook, do the laundry, do the dishes or whatever. All that while i'm supporting us through working the whole day. Whenever i confront her that she's smoking too much weed ( every day ) she tells me that i play too much games and gets defensive. I'm currently feeling like this is a one sided marriage and i'm really worried this is going the wrong direction. I need to do everything (including making doctors appointments).

She also hasnt made any effort whatsoever to intergrate into the country. She does not learn the  language, study for her drivers test, search for a job. She gets out of bed around 13:00 and drinks coffee for the rest of the day. Then i come home into the same mess as where i left from.

I'm really tired of babysitting and am thinking to break the marriage before children come into play. Although i would like to do everything i can to safe it.

Any advices / tips are welcome. Thanks in advance.

Thebaldman.

I think you should confront her straight on and tell her what you think, but also try to understand her if she has a problem if something and her way to cope with it, although it just sounds like she just want to keep you wrapped around her finger, maybe you should be more "aggressive" and confident with what you want to achieve, confront her and set a target/goal, example could be that if she doesn't change her lifestyle in X time you will go away. Of course only do that as an ultimatum, try to talk to her first and see how it goes.

End of the day mate, she is the only person who can make the effort in order to rectify these things. Deffo give it a good go to try and make her realise, and even offer to help her do these things. However, if it does not get better then really hold off on the kids and marriage. Take a step back and evaluate the situation?
