Which do you like?  Myself, it seemed like I was dating a quiet girl, but it turned out she was the opposite - or at least, not quiet.  Anyway, do you feel women are always supposed to be quiet or is that an outdated stereotype?  Myself, I think quiet girls would be boring - unless you were a very talkative person yourself.

I think the majority of women are quite shy at the beginning of any relationship, that's why they always like quite a confident guy that leads the relationship, eventually, I find, they come out of their shell after a couple of weeks.

Personally, I couldn't date a quiet girl, and I mean, if even past the honeymoon stage she remained quite - that would be a big no-no for me.

I don't think there's anything worse than a relationship where only one side actively talks and raises discussion topics, both partners need to be able to communicate effectively otherwise it just won't work.

That's just me though  ;D

I think most women are quite if it's your first time to meet because they are still uncomfortable. However, based on so many experiences, after one meeting and if they'll see that you are an out-going person, they'll eventually be loud on your next dates or after a few dates following the first one.

For me, I actually prefer if the girl knows when or where to use her quietness and loudness. If we're on a date in a formal place, I'd prefer her to stay quiet but she can talk but not too loud. But, if there's only the two of us then she can be as loud as a pig or an elephant whichever she likes.

A quiet girl around a loudmouth could work, as the OP suggested.  For instance, I knew this dude overseas that was more outgoing than I was.  In that case, we made great friends (non-romantic).  It was never boring being around each other, not to mention we liked similar things.

To be honest, women who are loud upon first meeting them seem weird to me. In fact, they are often kind of bullies.  Well, I mean that in a kidding way, I guess.  Well, there was this loud woman I knew at college and she was always making fun of me.  Like, I'd make a joke, but then she would turn it around to make fun of me.  >:(

But anyway, she wasn't truly disrespecting me as in some hate thing.  It was just that type you know!
