Following on from my other thread regarding how to progress from dating to a relationship (sorry for all the threads!) this has sparked another question in my mind: how long should you date before committing to a relationship?

Like I said, my friend has been seeing a girl for a couple of months now and they're getting on really well, but ultimately, how long should he wait to commit to a relationship?

Do you think a couple months is enough?
