Hi, everybody!
I need helpful advice. My GF suffers from an anxiety disorder. She takes a lot of pills, sometimes smokes weed, and I'm afraid for her. I know that she feels terrible, and I try to help her, but she doesn't want to hear me.
How can I make her understand that her behavior can lead to addiction? What should I do?

As far as I know, Xanax isn't used for long-term treatment. Because after a while, tolerance develops, and you have to increase the dosage. As a result, you can become addicted to alprazolam. So if she doesn't stop using it after a certain period, she should ask for help ... Also, I found on addiction resource.com that Xanax can cause impulsive or aggressive behavior. I think that's why she can sometimes be rude to you.

I have anxiety . I was prescribed Xanax ... I finally sought a counselor who encouraged me to strongly be careful with Xanax ... maybe ask her to talk to someone ? Ask her what causes her anxiety and how you can help ease it ? Or what to prevent it ? If there are triggers ? Be patient too . Sometimes yoga can help or herbal teas . Thank you for being there for her . People with anxiety appreciate the patience because it’s not in our control always .

Has she tried any apps such as headspace? They have lots of good techniques for controlling and managing anxiety

Take her to a psychiatrist. Or a psychologist for counseling.
