So I'm rooming with this really gorgeous girl. She's got the most amazing personality and we're pretty good friends. She can be a little uptight sometimes, but not in a bad way and I think it adds to her cuteness. About five months ago I started feeling like I like her. I've been trying to ask her out, but I'm having a hard time getting up the courage. I not really afraid that it might be awkward if she says no, but she's very hot and kind of intimidating. I don't normally go to forums for advice, but does anyone have advice on how to ask out a roommate?

I can relate to your situation. I had a gorgeous roommate when I moved for a job, in every way especially personality. The type that you think 'these women still exist?'. I started just hanging out with her as friends, watching shows, dinner together.

It didn't even cross my mind she was that 'out of my league'. Then one night we were watching a movie. We kissed right before one of her trips, "texted" the entire time, and dated when she returned. We were friends, but I kept dating others and inviting them over. I think maybe that helped build some curiosity in her.

I ended up having to move again, and she married shortly afterwards. Kicking myself to this day.

Hey LonelyIN. So you didn't ask her out? It's more difficult for me because she can be very cluster phobic and doesn't really get near other people (unless she's drunk, lol). She does have a military trip in June that last for three weeks and I was kinda worried about asking her out before that because if we do get into a relationship then it might be like doing long distance right at the beginning. But honestly I REALLY like her and just want to tell her how I feel, but I'm probably the one of the most nervous guys ever and I just can't seem to get up the courage. I am tired of waiting though and am hoping that I can be brave enough to do it soon.
