heya all, im new here

i am luckily going on a date with a doctor soon, well, she recently just graduated and is working towards securing herself a full-time position with the NHS.

I really like her and want to impress her, what are some good doctor-related questions that I could ask her that demonstrates that i am genuinely interested in her profession?

she was studying ophthalmology.

Tbh, if it was me, even though dating a doctor would be really interesting and I'd love to hear more. It's probably the last thing a doctor wants to hear!

They work long stressful hours, im sure in their own time (and especially on a date) they like to unwind.

i'd think about it from their perspective, would you want someone harping on about your job on a date?

i'd raise it and show your interests but i wouldn't make their profession the main convo!

hope it goes well.

It's nice to know something about her being a doctor. It will make her think that you are impressed by her. But maybe don't focus too much on her profession. Remember that  it's  a date, not a job interview. Try to ask her of her other interests, hobbies, or anything else that is light but fun topic. You don't want her to get stressed even on a date, do you? Just try to be fun and comfortable. Make her enjoy the day, make her think of you after it, not her profession. If she opens up about it, then you can get along with it, but don't make your date mostly about it.

Ask her for a physical. I'm just kidding, absolutely do not do this, I'm speaking from experience ;)

Jokes aside, I would show her that you are interested in her profession and ask a few questions maybe as an ice breaker, but don't stay on the subject too long. Keep it casual instead of professional and focus more on her. I think it would impress her more if you showed a little interest in her job but more interest in her as a person and not as a doctor.
