How much do you all utilize it? Do you have problems with it?  What are your favorite services?  Do you pay for them?  If so, how can you get the cheapest deals?

When my husband and I were in a long distance relationship we used Skype but these days if he is away for work we chat on FaceTime. It definitely makes dealing with a LDR a bunch easier when you can still connect with things like that. I think it would be a bunch harder to try and have a relationship but not utilize those services.

We use WhatsApp most of the time when in mobile phone for video calls, and Facebook Messenger for short chats. They are both free and secured. When in PC, I'll definitely recommend Skype. It got good service, and again, free. All you need is a stable internet service. Keep the love alive! Good luck!

I never been in long distance relationship but I do video chat with my friends and relatives abroad.  Facebook messenger I think is one of the best tool to do the video chat, and I'm using it and never encounter any problem.

Let me make it very clear that video call is not only meant for people who are in a long distance relationship. It's very important and good for both long distance relationships and close relationships. It helps in making the people who are in a relationship feel more closure unlike when it's just ordinary voice call.

Facebook messenger, whatspp and IMO are the three video call applications that I use for communicating with my family and loved ones.

For my partner and I, we usually use Facebook messenger and Skype. We maximize the use of these apps by messaging and calling each other constantly whenever we are free. Though our work schedules are different due to time difference, we try our best to let each other feel that distance doesn't matter much as long as we are both committed and want the relationship continue to grow.

Me and my boyfriend is in a long distance relationship since 2016 until now. At first it is hard, very hard since we always want to be together. We cannot cuddle, kiss or hug each other. We are using the Facebook messenger as our primary communication. We make video calls every now and then. We promised each other to send a selfie before we go to school or work. We commit to each other, to be loyal and to trust each other. I believe that trust is the most foundation of those couples who is in a long distance relatioship. Just stay strong and trust your partners. Always remember that distance is just a number for two persons who are deeply inlove.

Video chat is really needed in a long distance relationship, thanks to the technology that we have today that's in time with all of the changing lifestyles and innovating new rules when it comes to personal relationships and families that are distant with one another. Video chat is really essential to partners who are apart from each other because at least they can talk and see and somehow feel the presence of a person they care about that would show their physical personality and how both would react to one another without filtered emotions.

You guys are lucky now that we have the internet because video chat used to be my dream when I was on a long distance relationship. My boyfriend was assigned work in London for 4 months and later on he went to the US to stay for 7 months. You can imagine the hardship that we endured when the only means of communication were the postal mail and the expensive long distance phone call. With the video chat, it is very convenient for lovers to get connected. When my husband attended a 1-week seminar in Singapore some years back, it seemed to me that he was not really far because we could chat after work and a longer chat before bedtime. Video chat definitely deadens the inconvenience of distance.

Video chat is very useful to long distance relationship, I am using Wattup and Facebook chat to talk to my relatives from the other countries. People are lucky to have the chance to video chat because in the past I didn't have the chance to talk to my friends or relatives who were at a long distance.

I've been using Skype, Whatsapp and FB Messenger. I also tried Instagram video chat last week but only for 10 minutes. I guess I'm not comfortable with it. All these applications are free of charge and easy to use. For you to have a best video chat experience, be sure that your internet connection is stable. Oh one more thing, I had a problem with Skype since I updated it 2 weeks ago. It was giving me headache with the loading of messages. When I checked the reviews, some people were experiencing the same thing and they have other concerns too. The problem is, you have no choice but to update it because the old version will be gone soon. The old version is better.

Well it depends on how you want to stay in touch with the person. Normal calls are often too expensive. Thanks for the Apps today like Skype, FB Messenger, viber, whatsapp, etc. Because of that you feel that your partner is in front of you and you also feel that you are closer to each other. You get intimately virtually in video calls. :)

I used to use Skype too. It was the go to service for connecting with faraway people. However, so many apps have since replaced it. I use Facebook's video call feature since it's convenient. I can see my loved ones even when they're far away.  :D

It's one of the main advantages with internet connection. You get to converse with someone on the other side of the globe. I mostly use mine for long distance. I miss seeing my friends and family over there.  :)
