I have recently met this guy. I really liked him. We were on a party together, got a bit drunk and I started to flirt with him. We kissed several times and more. Right before that, he told me he has a gf but he's not fully happy with her (it's his high school sweetheart, have been together for 4 years) although he loves her (well...). I know we shouldn't have done it, but please don't insult me :-X He told me it was amazing several times and that if he's free he's gonna date me for sure lol. The next day, we spent some more time together (this time sober) 1-on-1, I actually realized I really enjoy his company, he does too - he told me about some of his problems with his gf (he was thinking about taking a break) and his serious problems at home. He also said it's nice to have someone to talk to like that and we hugged a lot. We also talked about movies, he showed me pictures from his phone etc. About what happened between us, he said we are not gonna be together, but we both agreed on becoming friends.

It has been only one month since that time, we text sometimes but not too much (he's super sociable, but he actually told me he doesn't like texting). Recently, we met in a group of friends. We were drinking too. He sat next to me. I tried hugging him once but he said that I shouldn't so I stopped (I said it's just friendly thing though :P). Then, as the night progressed, he actually hugged me several times, and touched my hair too. When I kept talking with the other guy I noticed him staring at me several times, and he kind of acted like he wanted to get my attention (he started teasing me, hugging me, messing up with my hair again, interrupting my conversation in general). I could feel sexual tension between us all the time. There was also a lot of talking like "we're just friends, right?". When he was leaving, we hugged twice. The second time was kind of intense - he kissed my forehead, we hugged and it was a realllyyyy long hug compared to my other male friends' hugs. At the end of this hug he actually sucked my ear for 2 or 3 seconds :-X On the next day, he texted me saying he doesn't remember some things from that night (I don't really believe it, cuz he only had beer, but well). Also, during that night his girlfriend called him several times, he was rejecting these calls but after 3 or 4 times he picked up (I don't know what they were talking about).

I kinda feel like when he's sober, he's super collected and always telling me like nothing is gonna happen between us, but when he's drunk he's the type to become emotional and act as I have just described. I feel like there is something between us, I'm wondering if he's gonna act on it. Do you think it's possible he actually has some feelings for me? I have never seen him acting the same way with other girls, but I have only known him for one month, so I have only seen how he's acting in our group of friends (very large though, many girls). I don't know what's up with his girlfriend, never asked him about that and I don't intend to. I'm curious about your opinion, because it's the first time something like that happened to me and I'm looking for advice. Please don't judge us, just tell me your thoughts about this situation. Thank you!  :)

If you want a honest answer then here goes. IMO you can't give away ones true feelings under the affect of alcohol . Many of us older ones have been there and worn the T Shirt. I think its fair to say many of us have done things we shouldn't have in this way.

I can see you have 2 choices here . You can accept his platonic friendship and play a waiting game to see what happens in the future ( your still young enough for that to happen). However I would ask you to read up on Emmotional Affairs and assess how this situation could develop into one if your not too careful. There are things you are both discussing such as his existing girlfriend that tells me that this could have already started.

The other choice is to keep as just friends and you to move on.

Thank you very much for your honest opinion, I appreciate it :) I'll read about it for sure.
