What did you all do then?  Did you exchange candy, go on a date, take a  vacation?  How expensive is Valentine's Day for you normally?  Is it bigger than your spouse etc.'s birthday?

Its not bigger than my partner's birthday but definitely its an important occasion. Because my partner loves the idea of valentines day giving her flowers and making her feel beautiful. Although everyday for me is valentines day sometimes i don't understand why we need to celebrate it. But because i love my partner i don't need to understand i just need to do it. :)

Unless Valentine's Day falls on a weekend, my husband works from 4 pm to 1 am, and he gets home at 3 am. Before he reaches home, I usually prepare a breakfast for us to eat together. Lights are turned off, candles are lit, and flowers on a vase. This is how I surprise my husband on a V-Day.

This year I was not able to make it to Valentine's Day, but I did plan on bringing candy.  Anyway, I've never viewed the day as being that important.  It's nothing like Christmas or the partner's birthday.

I'm thinking a ski trip would be in order.  I mean, if you live in a temperate or cold climate, then February is certainly cold!  So have any of you been on a snow vacation at that time?

We actually had a great time. Just a simple dinner. It doesn't have to be expensive. Though, it's nice to eat at a fancy restaurant. Makes for a quiet evening.  ;D

I took my wife for a walk in the parc and after that, we went to a restaurant and gave her a gift, it was a small gold chain with an inscription - I love you forever, she is wearing it now.

That's so sweet. I hope more people find comfort in small things in life. They're what makes life special. Moments so simple yet filled meaning. That's what Valentines Day is all about.
