My boyfriend really has a smelly armpit and I can’t tell him that directly. I don’t want him to get upset. I love him but I don’t have the courage to tell him that. Some of my friends told me jokingly that love is indeed blind. When we were out at the mall one time, a group of young Shenyang women even noticed it. I don’t want him to become a talk of town but telling him right to his face that his armpit is really stinky made me want to run away. Should I tell him in a joke way so that it won’t appear insulting or should I tell him seriously? But how? How should I tell him he has a smelly armpit without making him feel insulted?

I think it's worth telling him because it's something that he can change.

On the other hand, if it was something regarding his appearance that he couldn't change, then probably not.

But he only needs to wash! I'd tell him.

I definitely think that it is important to tell him. I would start with subtle hints but if he doesn’t take the message then I would tell him directly in the most loving and tactful way possible. It may hurt his feelings but in the end he may appreciate your honestly more than just being nice to him.

Yes. He might get offended or embarrassed, but it's for his own good... And yours too. It's normal to have a smelly armpit, it's part of our body's reaction, but of course being neat, clean and fragrant make us look better and feel better. And more attractive.

How you could tell him is maybe say it in a not so serious way. Joke your way to it. Maybe like, "I think it's getting a little hot, our armpits feel a little slippery. It's getting way too much moisture, don't you think?" or something.

Just good luck!

You should hint at it then buy him some gifts and include a roll on and see what he does with it. If he uses it then fine but if he doesn't use it, then tell him in the best way you know that won't hurt his feelings. That way, he will pay more attention to it when he is taking his bath

Do you have an update regarding this @problemgf26 - does your boyfriend still continue to have a smelly armpit?  ;D
