There are five love languages that we can fall under that make us feel truly loved. Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Receiving Gifts, Acts of Service and Personal Touch. Finding the right language is the key to helping a person feel loved. Which one do you relate to? Which one do you use to express your love?

Physical touch, for me hugs and kisses are so much better than any present. I think I could never date or marry someone who doesn't like to snuggle on the couch or in bed each night. I enjoy holding hands anywhere and everywhere and I think there is nothing sweeter than seeing an elderly couple doing the same. I understand that life is short and the best things in life are free!

Personally, I like intimacy, so, out of your five love languages, personal touch would qualify.

Luckily for me, my girlfriend is extremely intimate, she likes to hold holds, cuddle and to be close pretty much ALL THE TIME, to some, this may be recognised as an annoyance, however, I quite like it.

I think real love is expressed by personal touch, anyone can easily tell another person that they love them, but physical touch has real meaning associated with it. I think.

So, personal touch for me! Good post.  :D

I'm a bit confused on this one.  I mean, I think most women want this, so if one is withholding it, then probably she isn't in love with you.  Anyone agree?

Quite possibly, yes! if your partner doesn't necessarily enjoy kissing, hugging or doing any of that - somethings up.

Yeah, I figured those were normal behaviors.  I mean, they all like it - even if some aren't as obsessed with it.  Anyway, why might someone go into a relationship where the love wasn't very strong?

I really enjoyed this book and thought the concept was very interesting and easy to apply to a lot of relationships! For me, I think mine is quality time. I do think that all of the 5 languages play their part in my relationship, but in terms of what means the most to me it's that for sure. I feel like without quality time it can be hard for me to feel appreciated or valued in the relationship. My husband's is probably words of affirmation!

To be honest, on the comic side, this stuff scares me.  OK, you can make a lady love you- but you could also make a cult follow you.  Scary stuff!

The question is which one is my favorite so basically those five love languages you mentioned are very important. They are all very significant to me but if we talk about favorite then it would be, my choice is words of affirmation. It may be different from what you said guys but for me I test the person through his own words. If his words are really genuine then those other four love languages will definitely follow by. I don't want to touch the person I love if he or she does not want it. Personal touch may be the sweetest thing we may ever feel, but make sure that it is not just out of body needs. I want a genuine personal touch that shows how much you care and love your love ones unconditionally.

Yeah, I think mind control can be massively abused.  You see it all the time among cults, in POW camps, a number of places.  I mean, even myself, on one forum I seem to be a victim.  There are these people who keep telling me their way is right - so eventually, unknowingly, I begin to believe it.

To be honest, words of affirmation can be weak.  I mean, for instance, if a girl psychotically obsessed over you says "I love you." a hundred times a day, then that can be weird, indeed!  >:(  However, though, at the right moment and time, I think words of affirmation are needed - even if some tough guys act like they don't need it!
