I’ve been best friends with a guy for 3 years now. He is the person I’ve been closest to since we met. When we met I was dating someone, and when that relationship failed, I quickly got into another long relationship, and he dated around as well, but nothing serious on husband part. We obviously remained friends the whole time & I would often seek advice from him throughout my relationship. I always knew I had a small crush on him but never would act on it because I wasn’t in a relationship and was scared of the rejection. When my ex and I broke up, we hung out a lot more frequently and my crush became much stronger. I didn’t want to mess up our closeness so I never tried. One night when we were hanging out he kissed me and we both finally admitted we had feelings for a long while. We're talking now and have met each others families and have become more serious. I’m scared to mess up our friendship if things fail, and I am more scared of him completely losing feelings for me one day and me being invested. I’m not sure how to make this transition from best friends to more, and how to let go of my anxiety or fear of it not working. Any advice?!
