I don't mean to disrespect any lady or women in the forum but from my recent observations about the treatment and reactions given and displayed when an abuse or harassment is melted to the female is practically different from what happens when the abuse is directed to the males.

People and authorities seek for blood when a man abuse a lady but when a lady abuses a man, everyone including the authorities seems to turn a blind eye and deaf ears to the incident.

I'm not in support of any form of abuse or harassment to any sex but I'm seriously against preferential treatment. If it's the lady or man that is wrong, they should be treated the same way.

I think you have a point. It seems that guys just have to deal with stuff like this themselves. They're expected to. Though, it may take some time before we see any changes. I hope fairness comes sooner than later.

I saw something similar to what you just explained here few days ago on Facebook. It was actually a video study that was conducted to see people's reactions to when a lady or a man is harassed in public.

The video started with the guy sexually touching a girl without her consent and people both men and women attacked the guy but in the next video carried out in another location where the was the one harassing the guy, people walked by and laughed. Some people even encouraged her to continue. This is very wrong in my opinion but it's the society we live in today. Women have better advantage over men. They are now the stronger sex.

This is a practical example of what I was trying to refer to. Just look at the video you just described here and see how both parties were treated in the same case when the abuse was reversed and you see that males are now more marginalized than the females.

What could be the reason for this development?

It's a shame that the world is fashioned this way at this very moment, I can't really say the reason why things are this way in respect to either sex getting abused publicly or privately but it might be that the female counterpart has been subjugated for a long period of time before women began to seek liberation and it brought about the feminist theory.

That's a very accurate example. It shows that it's more accepted for guys to be harassed than it is for the opposite gender. We might not see things going differently for a long time. But people are aware of this and can learn from society's mistakes.  :)

Personally, I'm against any form of abuse from anyone to another person. It's not something that is right in the eyes of the world and should never be encouraged just like what happened in the video clip I saw on Facebook. Even though I'm a lady, I wasn't impressed seeing people encouraging the girl to abuse the guy but frown at the guy when he abused the girl. This is totally wrong. Let's call a spade a spade.

Thanks for your candid opinion on this @Rita101, it's not every lady that would respond to this issue the way that you did without some prejudice or biased mind. If 70% woman population reason the way that you do, I think we won't have much issues like this in the world.

Maybe this is true, but we must admit that a man is more powerful in every aspect of life than a woman, and man is more abusive than women, is a rare thing to see a man abused by a woman.

You're right. It's more often that it happens to women. Maybe that's part of the reason why things are the way they are. Let's learn to understand each other and the world around us.
