It has been weeks since I noticed that my wife is no longer wearing our wedding ring. I realized that when we dined one night and my eyes suddenly landed on her hands. It was not just one time. Since that night, I always check her ring finger to see it and I never saw her wearing that ring again. I ignored it at first, thinking she had only forgotten. However, when I saw my five-year old son, Tom, was playing with her ring, I felt bad. She was on a foreign country for a business trip and I was just home from work when that happened. Did she really have the intention of not wearing it for a cause or she had just forgotten again? What does it mean?

This kind of speculation in my opinion is totally useless. Why don't you jut ask her. I don't think any of us would know what is her thought process. She may have removed her ring for many reasons. The number one reason (I'm sorry to say) is that maybe after five years, the ring no longer looks good and its fading. How expensive was the ring?If her feelings for you have changed or she no longer wants to be married, I think she will tell you. Personally I don't wear my wedding ring everyday. I would be bored stiff. I keep it safe and wear it only sometimes. I don't think this is anything to worry about.

I think @jaymish is right, you won't know it until you ask her. It could be that's it's just causing her discomfort!

Alright! I'll ask her when she comes back. I just thought it means something bad because I myself always wear my wedding ring. Why? Because I always believe  that it is sacred and a promise of commitment. However, I'll take your advice of asking her since that's the best thing to do. Thanks, anyway!
