There are some qualities that both parties in a relationship must have in order to ensure that the relationship would last longer and probably turn into something serious. Qualities such as love, trust, tolerance, commitment etc.

But we all know that cheating is an act that is very common in relationships today, so I would like know your thoughts on when a partner finds out that he or she has been cheated on, does the relationship still remain the way it was before or change drastically?

Cheating would be horrible - unless your partner is into some open thing.  However, that usually isn't the case.  Anyway,  the world runs on trust - from job interviews to your credit score.

Some people would say that men cheat more often than the women does but I beg to differ with the opinion that both cheats equally. When a man is cheating, he is doing it with a woman and vice versa.

For the record, I wouldn't forgive my partner should I discover she is cheating on me, it would practically ruin our relationship.

It also justifies violence, maybe murder with most people.  Anyway, I'm shocked anyone would have the guts to cheat - considering the possible consequences.  It's mind blowing.  :(

You can really be surprised with the reasons why some men or women cheat in their relationship. There was a time I came across an article online where a lady boldly stated that she wouldn't be able to remain faithful to her partner if she isn't sexually satisfied. That was so unbelievable when I read that article.

Does anyone consider strip clubs cheating?  Would you forgive your spouse for visiting one?  Which gender is more forgiving of it?  I mean, I heard that women cannot stand guys looking at other women, though it's in their nature, because the women are always comparing themselves to the rivals.

Wow! Interesting question. Undoubtedly in my view, cheating changes the dynamics of a relationship. In the beginning it is all negative energy but depending on the couple and the circumstances that led to the cheating, cheating can at times make the relationship stronger (not in anyway advocating for cheating)  or it can break both the relationship and the parties to it that there is no way back from it.

Cheating is a crime. Not only it affects the relationships, it can also create a big impact to the person who is cheated.

Cheating has a huge effect in a relationship. Because you dont only destroy what you have with your partner. You also destroy him/her emotionally and her well being. He/She will start to question why they are not enough for you and it might affect them in their views about relationship. If you are not happy or contented with your partner and your relationship just leave them spare them the trauma of being cheated on.

It's interesting to note that many women are far more insecure than guys.  For instance, a guy glancing at a bikini is no big deal to him.  However, a woman will compare herself to the girl, hence why she is more sensitive about it.

Cheating is a betrayal of trust. If you cannot stay loyal to your partner, then let go and give the person the chance to be with someone who understands that relationships are founded by trust and loyalty.

A relationship requires trust and respect to last. When you love someone, you won't even think to cheat or have your eyes on to another person except your loved one. Cheating basically changes the relationship. When a partner feels betrayed because of cheating, the spark slowly fades.
