So I've been dating this guy for some time and I got somewhat attached to him. He is good to me, takes good care of me and is a good guy. But the problem is he is sexist and doesn't respect girls. Like he respects me and some girls too, but he slut-shames all the time. Also when I told him my goal is to become a surgeon he said surgeons and doctors are usually men, and women should be nurses. Also his group of friends always says demeaning things about girls, they comment on who they would "smash" and talk about what they did with their girlfriends in a disrespectful way. He also cares alot about what other people think. Should I break up? He didn't do anything bad to me, he is sweet and I love spending time with him but that sexist and vain type of person he is is one of the types I hate the most

I don't think you should breakup, but I definitely think you need to talk to him about his behavior. Tell him the truth. Tell him that it bothers you that he's sexist and that he put down your goal to become a surgeon. A good boyfriend will always support his partner.
It's very good that he treats you well and takes care of you. That's why I don't think you should breakup with him because of this. He CAN change his ways, especially if he knows that it upsets you.

A small and fun test to see who can survive better: sleep 4 hours a day and after a week try to see who can do better math or solve a puzzle. That's the only way to find out who can survive the torture to be a surgeon...
